Sisters In Service

I am humbled by the opportunity to serve as the president of Zeta Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. A strong and illustrious chapter, which prides itself on demonstrating unparalleled excellence in service and scholarship to our community and beyond.  From the inception of our beloved sorority over 108 years ago, to the establishment of over 900 international chapters in existence today, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated is indeed an organization of service & sisterhood like no other!

Sophisticated, Scholarly, Substantive and Servant Leadership is what Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is known for throughout the globe.  Since the chartering of Zeta Tau Omega in 1955, our chapter has received numerous recognitions for the types of service projects, scholarships, and community programs that we implement each year.  Through the years, we have enjoyed a rich legacy of service.

As such, our programs, events and activities are often executed using community partnerships, as is evidenced in our Community Youth Outreach, Fashionetta, Mother Daughter Luncheon, Taste of the Vine and our signature program Achievement Self Awareness Communication Engagement Networking Development Skills. (ASCEND).

Our chapter is comprised of a very diverse group of women who offer talents and resources to uplift, empower, and educate our community.  However, we cannot improve the health and well-being of our community alone.  If you are a community member looking to collaborate on a project or initiative, please do not hesitate to contact us.  We also welcome you to attend our numerous public events.

If you are an inactive Alpha Kappa Alpha member, recent graduate, or a general member seeking to affiliate with a graduate chapter, look no further . . . . you are now home and we have a place waiting just for you!

We trust that the brief overviews provided fulfills your short-term requirements however, do not hesitate to communicate with us via the “Contact Us” link in the navigation menu for additional information. Please visit our site frequently for the most updated information and schedule of events.

Again, “thank you” for visiting the Zeta Tau Omega chapter and we look forward to you joining us in “making a difference” in our communities!
